In deep sorrow and united in faith, we invite all the faithful to join together in prayer for the repose of the soul of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis, whose funeral will take place on Saturday, April 26.

A Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. at St. Lucia’s Cathedral, Kotahena, presided over by His Excellency Brian Udaigwe, Apostolic Nuncio to Sri Lanka. Let us come together in solidarity with the Universal Church to honor the life and service of our Shepherd.

We kindly encourage all families to display a white or Catholic flag at their homes as a visible sign of our mourning and unity.

Let us entrust the soul of Pope Francis to God’s infinite mercy, remembering with gratitude his life of humble service and unwavering love for the Church.
