Jubilee 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
The Holy Year 2025 is a time of grace and renewal for the Church and the world. With the theme Pilgrims of Hope, we are invited to journey together in faith, strengthened by God's mercy, and guided by the light of Christ.
A Sacred Tradition
The Jubilee, deeply rooted in Scripture, has been celebrated in the Church for centuries as a time of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and renewal. Pope Francis, in his Bull of Indiction Spes Non Confundit (Hope Does Not Disappoint), calls the faithful to embrace this year with open hearts, seeking spiritual growth and unity.

Celebrating the Jubilee in Our Archdiocese
Under the guidance of His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, our Archdiocese joins the universal Church in marking this Holy Year with special celebrations, pilgrimages, and acts of charity. The Opening of the Holy Door, moments of prayer, and community initiatives will help us reflect on God's boundless love and mercy.
How to Take Part
Jubilee Logo
The Jubilee 2025 logo beautifully symbolizes the journey of faith and hope. It features four figures representing humanity, embracing one another in solidarity and fraternity as they move toward the cross. The lead figure clings to the cross, signifying both faith and the enduring need for hope, especially in challenging times. Beneath them, rough waves reflect life’s struggles, while the elongated lower part of the cross forms an anchor—traditionally known as the ‘anchor of hope’—offering stability amid life’s storms. The cross is not static but reaches toward humanity, reminding us that God’s presence and hope are always with us. The motto Peregrinantes in Spem (Pilgrims in Hope), displayed in green, calls us to continue this journey together in faith and trust
Walking Together in Hope
As Pilgrims of Hope, we move forward with trust in the Lord, knowing that His grace sustains us. Let this Jubilee be a time of transformation, drawing us closer to Christ and one another.
