Procurator's Office
The Procurator's Office of the Archdiocese of Colombo is entrusted with the prudent stewardship of the material and financial resources of the local Church. In fidelity to the Church's mission, the office ensures the transparent, accountable, and lawful administration of ecclesiastical goods in accordance with Canon Law (can. 1279 - 1289) and the directives of the Archbishop. It provides support and oversight to parishes, institutions, and apostolates in financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and reporting.
Through faithful management of Church resources, the Procurator's Office helps to sustain the spiritual, pastoral, and charitable activities of the Archdiocese, ensuring that all material goods serve the evangelizing mission of the Church and the needs of the People of God.

Purpose of the Procurator's Office
- Ensure the proper administration of ecclesiastical goods “so that the Church may fulfill its proper ends” (cf. Code of Canon Law, can. 1254 §2).
- Serve the temporal mission of the Church, supporting evangelization, worship, education, and charity.
- Uphold Christian stewardship, in the spirit of “communion, participation, and mission” as emphasized in Synodality and in Pope Francis' teachings on accountability in Church governance.
- Promote transparency and justice in financial affairs, fostering trust among the faithful and proper use of donations and offerings.
